NESTA Research Report Launch: Hidden Innovation in the Creative Industries, Monday 14th July, Manchester

The creative industries are now widely recognised as leading players in the global economy. But to maintain that position in the face of intense competition from overseas, and to take advantage of the opportunities presented by new technologies, they must innovate. A major challenge faced by policymakers who want to encourage innovation in this area is the complete dearth of evidence on innovation in the creative industries.

To help bridge the evidence gap NESTA would like to invite you to attend a seminar and lunch reception to mark the publication of NESTA's report Hidden Innovation in the Creative Industries at 12pm on Monday 14th July at in Room B2B, Urbis in Manchester.

The report, for the first time, paints a detailed picture of vibrant innovation behaviours in four of the UK 's creative sectors. The case study sectors are: video games development, product design, independent broadcasting and advertising.

Date: Monday 14th July

Time: 12pm - 2.30pm

Place: Room B2B, Urbis, Cathedral Gardens, Manchester, M4 3BG
